Dr David Harvey has been a member of staff in the School of Economics since October 2003. He is a Reader in Econometrics. His research interests are in the area of time series econometrics, in particular tests for unit roots and structural change, forecast evaluation and applied time series analysis in general. He has published in journals such as the Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Econometrics Journal, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Forecasting, International Journal of Forecasting. This Flash-based resource, aimed at students of lighting design, introduces the idea and use of the lighting cue sheet when operating a manual lighting board. Lighting paperwork : lighting cue sheets

Description

This Flash-based resource introduces lighting cue sheets, written notes used to detail changes in lighting during a performance. The resource provides examples, together with explanatory text, of a simple cue sheet and a full list of cues. The former describes the lighting state for just one cue, whereas the latter lists details of all the cues in a performance. Students are required to click on subheadings within the resource to reveal relevant information.

Mentoring : the mentor handbook

Description

This electronic handbook is designed to assist the mentoring of learners in a work based learning context. It comprises two main areas: the first focuses on the tutor and includes selecting and training a mentor. The second focuses on the mentor and what they should expect from becoming a mentor. Other information includes the roles within mentoring for the employer, tutor, mentor and mentee. A number of tasks are included to help direct the mentoring process. The handbook can be downloaded in Word, HTML or IMS formats.
