Using CDX automotive online training to enhance teaching and learning for Motor Vehicle at New College Lanarkshire (Motherwell Campus)

Description

CDX is an online interactive training tool for automotive students. The Automotive Department at New College Lanarkshire (Motherwell Campus) have successfully integrated the use of CDX in teaching and learning, leading to enhanced student engagement, improved progress monitoring and it has helped foster independent learning. Use of CDX has also encouraged staff to engage with other areas of the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment.

Overall Energy Efficiency Analysis of Different C-class Vehicles

Description

Passenger transportation, in particular light-duty vehicles, accounts for close to 60% of the global transportation energy consumption [1]. Certain vehicle fuel and powertrain combinations are more energy efficient than others. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the C-class vehicle fuel and powertrain combinations that are in general more energy efficient overall. This investigation could help consumers to purchase vehicles and transport fuels in the future that are more energy efficient.
