14.461 is an advanced course in macroeconomics that seeks to bring students to the research frontier. The course is divided into two sections. Numerical Aerodynamics Numerical Aerodynamics

Description

This course provides a solid theoretical base for various numerical methods used to solve problems in aerodynamics. Results obtained using the methods developed in the course are compared with those from commercially available programs, assessing the advantages and disadvantages of each. Practical classes will be conducted in a fully equipped classroom, so that each student has a computer. During the course, students will actively program in MATLAB. The first few classes of the course are dedicated to providing a basic knowledge of MATLAB. This course provides a solid theoretical base for various numerical methods used to solve problems in aerodynamics.
