Description

This course explores how new technologies can help people learn new things in new ways. It analyzes principles and strategies underlying the design of innovative educational technologies and creative learning environments, drawing on specific case studies such as the LEGO Programmable Brick and Computer Clubhouse after-school learning centers. The course will include hands-on activities, analysis of learning experiences, and design of new tools and activities. This course explores how new technologies can help people learn new things in new ways. Con este proyecto tratamos de atender a las nuevas necesidades formativas del alumnado que cursa las asignaturas de Diagnóstico en Educación Social de 2º de Grado de Educación Social, Métodos de Investigación en Educación Social de 1º de Grado en Educación Social, Bases Orgánicas y Funcionales de los Órganos de la Audición y el Lenguaje de la Mención de Apoyo a las Necesidades Auditivas y del Lenguaje de 4º de Grado de Educación Primaria y Diversidad del Alumnado y Acción Tutorial de Grado de Educación Primaria. Para ello se ha producido y publicado materiales audiovisuales cuyo contenido sirva a los estudiantes de estas asignaturas. Carpe Diem Guide

Description

At the heart of Carpe Diem is a two-day workshop in which discipline-specific course teams, in collaboration with subject librarians and learning technologists, plan, implement and review student-centred e-learning designs, focusing on learner activity, group work and assessment for learning. By the end of the second day, course teams have a blueprint and storyboard for their course, a set of peer-reviewed online learning activities (or e-tivities) running on their institutional virtual learning environment (VLE), a transferable model for e-tivity design and a practical action plan.

Description

Dr Chris Paton studies the use of open-source Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, online learning and mobile technology to improve healthcare delivery in low-resource settings. LEARNING HEALTH SYSTEM In a learning health system, health care providers use electronic health records to identify problems, implement local solutions and check if the solutions are effective. Health informatics, or the use of IT in healthcare, needs to find innovative solutions for low income settings, such as the use of open-source softwares and mobile technology.
