Description
This resource introduces Harvard referencing, the method used in written pieces of academic work to inform the readers about the published sources of information used. The resource explains why Harvard referencing should be used (including issues of formatting and consistency): to acknowledge other people's work and to avoid plagiarism, a topic which is explored at some length here. Citations are also explained, and full guidelines and examples of how to cite correctly and make references to different types of media (e.g. books and journal articles) are provided. How to build reference tables is also covered, and a quiz helps to consolidate what students have learned from the resource.Subjects
